I have been contacted by the secretary/moderator of "Bury Retro Ford Club" as she is a friend of mine and EAMCC have been invited to attend Cars On The Green 2009 on 25th/26th April. This show is in aid of charity and money will be given to East Anglian Childrens Hospice, Help For Heroes, Papworth Hospital Charity and New Green Community Trust.

Attending this show is free but donations for the charities will be gratefully accepted.

This show takes place in Thurston.

Heart FM (previously SGR FM) will be in attendance from 12pm til 3pm.
Bury Free Press may be in attendance.
Subject to work commitments, cyclone (gladiator) will be there.
Trophies are on offer, therefore, if you want to attend then you will need to fill in a entry form which I should have by next week.

Its not a muddy field, it'll be on the main green.
There is a big slope to get to the middle of it, but apart from that its all flat.
You should g joe, it'll be good to get lots of golfs there.

my 5 was absoultely fine, and its prob got less physical ground clearance than the golf cos of the smaller wheels and a small matter of being lowered 90-100mm lol ... its more of a green than a field :)

most of the pics are of classic fords, but it isnt just a ford show (it's cos there pics taken by members of our ford club) so it will be great to get loads of diversity!!!! we want as many different cars there as possible (it's only our 2nd year hosting cars on the green)

As Chairman of BRF and one of the Chief Organisers, looking good for a good turn out already, having spoken to Mark about this, a club stand is allocated for you guys, we just need to know how much room you need!!

As for the "Best Sound" trophy, i've been told by the sponsor/judge of that trophy it is for QUALITY of sound its NOT how loud it goes!! lol

R.e the camping, if you are camping on the saturday night the £10 is per car and in that price you will get 2 free entry passes into the Community centre for the Disco, those that want to come along but not camp are more than welcome and ticket prices are £3 each or two for £5! There will be a burger/food van attending the sat night too, you are welcome to bring a bbq if you prefer BUT the only thing we have to be strict with is PLEASE NO GLASS BOTTLES. I know its pretty much common sense but you'd be surprised how many ignored the request last year and were disappointed when told they couldn't drink the contents on the Green! lol

i had a "walk around" the Green today and tried to mentally allocate Club spaces, got the choice of 2 prime locations for you guys, just need to start to see the forms so i can finalise the layout plan for who goes where!!

When people get their forms back to me i'll be sending out the confirmations and if you are camping you will also receive your complimentary tickets for the Disco in with your exhibitor forms.

Mark isnt attending on Saturday night so i now have the return slips to hand to shortie. I have got slips where everyone has put they are camping but as of yet no money has been handed in. If you are camping you need to hand in the £10 for it. Either hand it to me and i can hand it over with slips or if you are out on Saturday hand it to shortie then. Thanks

I'm confused....won't all the cars be in seperate groups like EAMCC??

EAMCC has a club stand booked, so that i can allow enough room for everybody, i need all cars wishing to be on each different club stand to be registered by this coming sunday the 19th by 18:00hrs

Bookings are now OVER 200 cars so space is of a premium.

Of these 200 plus vehicles, it is made up of around 14 different clubs.

i have now been paid, as as soon as i no who/ how to pay, ill give it as soon as possible for the camping :)

btw few new mods beeing added so you will all see them at the show :D

You are welcome to turn up on the day..... unfortunately i can't get you on a club stand as i closed the bookings for that last week so i can plan who goes where.

Gates open at 11 so exhibitors need to be in place before then, but bear in mind i have over 300 vehicles booked so don't cut it too fine. :lol:

i took my capri to the station hill car wash today........paid £20 for a wash and wax, my car has never been that clean since it was re-sprayed. was fanbloodytastic!!!

would have done it myself tomorrow before the show, but i cant wash cars to save my life, water marks and everything, looks worse after i've washed it lol

2moz i have 2 repair my front bumper, replace horn and sidelights, clean car, and with any luck, if they arrive, install my other sub and new amp :D
