right i think this is the first thing i have to post in this Rant section, not so much of a rant rahter than one of those days, firstly went to school all day which was terrible as always then left school and drove the 20min drive to work happy as larry. got to work for bout an hour then me and my boss left, turned my car on, sorted out the tunes then moved off, pulled out of the yard where i work and got my car into 2nd gear and it started to really badly stutter. so i pull over to see what it was, opened the bonnet and started to check things, then all of a sudden with a cough and a splutter it died, so i quickly jumped in the car to try and start it again, no luck, so i sit there for a while trying it every so often. then i finally give up and phone my dad for some help, bout half hour later he turns up has a look over the car then was about to phone the RAC when i remember that the centre HT lead came off once a couple of months ago so we pull it off to check the connection...
and i head a "ting" as a piece of metal falls out of the end of the HT lead, hmm **** i was thinking. half was left in the distributor cap half on the floor and the HT lead its self no longer any use. so dad says we will jump in his car and shoot off to halfords (about a 10 min) drive down the road, got in and guess what his car wont start, my sister had had the music on so had drained the battery. hmm... what next, so dad phones RAC to get his car sorted and they say a 75 min max wait, so in the mean time me and my sister decide to walk round to halfords after phoning them to see that they had HT leads and distributor cap. we walk round takes like 20 mins to walk round there got the bits £50 later this is, we walk back takes a further 20 mins got back and dad had just got off the phone to RAC theres a further 2 hour delay. hmmm not good...
so we fit the new distributor cap and centre HT lead and my car lives again, so i quickly turn my car round and jump start my dads, then drive home.
this just sums up today tbh. bit of a story and sorry for that but i thought u all my like to know my journey home from work that takes a whole 10 mins in a good run ended up taking 3 hours. so as you can imagine i wasnt happy.
